Architect saving trees Cartoonist Environmentalist

Vancouver-born Architect and Urban Designer, David Wong, has been advocating green design for over 30 years. His portfolio of work includes private homes, international airports (Singapore Terminal 3 & Seychelles), resorts, and major regional centre redevelopments in Asia, Australia, North America, and the Middle East.

A trained biologist, he is actively hosting sustainability design forums, including delegations from Canada's First Nations, through to government and industry leaders in Brunei, China, and Japan.

He began his career with Vancouver's Planning department in 1984 as part of the team led by Director Ray Spaxman, that transformed Vancouver's downtown core into today's vibrant high density residential and office community. In 1991 he became a founding partner of slh International Pte., one of Singapore's larger design firms, and recently, as Managing Director for a Vancouver based urban development company.

An advisor to business and political leaders, David has been recognized with a number of community and industry accolades, including 'LEED' projects in metro Vancouver, and named by the Vancouver Sun as one of B.C.’s "100 most influential Chinese-Canadians".
