Architect saving trees Cartoonist Environmentalist

Vancouver born Architect, David Wong, has been advocating green design for over 30 years. His work has ranged from private homes that "breathe", international airports (Seychelles and Singapore T3), through to award winning urban design projects and major shopping centre redevelopments in Asia, Australia, and the Middle east.

He is also a trained biologist, and has led his office in the hosting of sustainability design forums, including delegations from Canada's First Nations' communities, through to government and industry leaders in Brunei, China, and Japan.

He began his career with Vancouver's Planning department and helped formulate the then new high density residential condo form into its downtown. The early 1990's, saw him as a founding partner for one of Singapore's larger design firms.

An advisor to business and political leaders, David has been recognized with a number of community and industry accolades, including 'LEED' projects in metro Vancouver, and was identified by the Vancouver Sun as one of B.C.’s "100 most influential Chinese-Canadians".
